The always hilarious and entertaining antics of your favorite vegan celebrity chef, Jason Wrobel, turn a touch more serious this week as he shares tips on how to boost HGH levels naturally. J-Wro has the knowledge, and he lets it drop. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is a natural peptide that helps build muscle, burn fat, increase libido, and stay strong after puberty. This peptide has been all over the news recently as athletes use it to enhance performance because it does tend to boost muscle mass. As we age, it declines and reserves drop. You don’t have to turn to injections or anything unseemly to get a boost to your HGH though. There are plenty of natural ways to increase this vital peptide.
Intermittent Fasting – Fasting can actually boost HGH. After 24 hours of fasting, HGH can increase by up to 2000%! Choose a rest day and go as long as you can without eating solid food. J-Wro does fasts up to 18 or 20 hours on his rest days, drinking just water, tea, and juices.
Melatonin Rich Foods – Foods that contain melatonin can increase HGH by up to 157%! These include cherries, raspberries, goji berries, fava beans, coconut oil, and coconut meat. Melatonin also helps regulate mood, sleep, and appetite too.
Vitamin K with Protein – You want a good amount of healthy, lean protein in your body before and after workouts to help muscles build and recover. Vitamin K, found in kale and natto, helps convert amino acids, especially branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), into muscle. There are a few other foods that help in the digestion and assimilation of protein too, like enzymes from pineapple and papaya or natural sodium found in legumes, peas, seaweed, kelp, and other sea vegetables. These all help you get the most out of your protein and protein supplements.

  6. But soy beans and fava beans and very high in estrogen. And estrogen is terrible for mens testosterone. And if women get too much estrogen, they can get some cancers. So how does soy or fava beans help build hgh and help build muscle?

  10. WHOA! WHOA! Whoa!... HUGE piece of misinformation there people!
Intermittent Fasting isn't effective when you consume just "non solid" foods! You need to stay fully fasted (no calories at all) for 16h or more.
I've done IF for almost a year and I lift heavy weights.
    Please do your research.

  11. Hate to break it to you, but you're not fasting. Those juices you're drinking are spiking your insulin way up and destroying your fasted state. No HGH release going on here. Your physique also suggests this.
